VfB Stuttgart has won the DFB Cup for U19 juniors for the fourth time in history. In the final at the Karl Liebknecht Stadium in Babelsberg, Tobias Rathgeb’s team beat VfL Wolfsburg 3-0. It is the first triumph since 2022 for VfB’s youngsters.
In the first half, Stuttgart took a 2-0 lead in front of over 8,000 spectators with goals from Enis Redzepi (22nd minute) and Mirza Catovic (30th). Neno Zezelj scored the final point in the 87th minute. On the way to the final, VfB defeated VfL Bochum, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Eintracht Braunschweig, FC Augsburg and FSV Frankfurt (the route to the final is at a glance).
The DFB Cup for U19 juniors has been held since the 1986/87 season. The record winner is SC Freiburg with six titles, three of them with coach Christian Streich. VfB Stuttgart follows along with FC Augsburg with four triumphs each. The Swabians won the competition in 2001, 2019, 2022 and now 2026.
