Striker Luca Pfeiffer from Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart has been suspended for three games after his red card from Cologne, the German Football Association announced.
Pfeiffer was sent off in the away game against 1. FC Köln (0-0) on Sunday after a gross foul in the 56th minute. Player and club have agreed to the verdict. It is final.
In the 72nd minute, VfB coach Pellegrino Matarazzo saw yellow-red for complaining.
The coach had to watch the rest of the game from the stands and is suspended for Stuttgart’s home game against FC Schalke 04 on September 3 (3:30 p.m. / Sky).
