Although only switched to VfB Stuttgart last summer, the first rumors have recently circulated, according to which Ermedin Demirovic is already thinking about a farewell. The striker has now suffocated the speculation in the bud.
Ermedin Demirovic wants to stay at VfB Stuttgart. “I want to assert myself. I did not come to take a departure after the first difficult phase and find a new club,” the 26-year-old made it unmistakably clear to “Bild”.
The striker had commented on “Sky” about a month ago when he made a record of staying “long -term” at VfB Stuttgart. Afterwards, however, rumors came up, Demirovic could move to England in summer. As “Sport Bild” reported, remaining after the current season is by no means certain. A lucrative offer can lead to the national player of Bosnia in the Swabians, it said at the journal.
Nahrund had probably also received the speculation because Demirovic does not seem to have been completely arrived at VfB in his first season. “It is clear that you can’t be satisfied,” he told “Bild” on the current situation.
Demirovic wants to prevail at VfB Stuttgart
Demirovic is the team’s best attacker with nine league goals, but he has not yet played in the system of head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
“Nevertheless, I always try to give everything,” he said combative: “I try to fight in to get more playing time. At the beginning there was a lot expected. I am now at nine goals and believe that this is not too bad. I try to go full throttle and I am convinced that I can do enough goals and be good for VfB.”
The attacker was hired by FC Augsburg for more than 20 million euros after Serhou Guirassy’s departure.
