VF Corporation increases sales by 28 percent

The US VF Corporation reports an increase in sales of 28 percent to a total of 11.8 billion US dollars (around 11.2 billion euros) in the fiscal year ended April 2, 2022. The top 4 brands are Vans, The North Face, Timberland and dickies The group also includes global brands such as Eastpak, Icebreaker, Smartwool, Napapijri, Kipling, Jansport, Altra and, more recently, Supreme.

The skate brand Vans generated annual sales of 4.2 billion US dollars (around 3.9 billion euros) and an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous year. It is followed by the outdoor brand The North Face with 3.3 billion US dollars (around 3.1 billion euros) and an increase of 33 percent. Timberland also grew by 20 percent to 1.8 billion US dollars (around 1.7 billion euros) and Dickies by 19 percent to 837 million US dollars (around 792 million euros). All other brands accounted for $1.1 billion, up 60 percent.

Growth driver The North Face

The most important growth driver in the fourth quarter was the outdoor brand The North Face. It grew by 24 percent to sales of 800 million US dollars (around 757 million euros). The sales of the skate brand Vans amounted to one billion US dollars (around 946 million euros) in the same period and remained unchanged compared to the previous year.

Almost all major markets contributed equally to the growth. The US, EMEA and Americas regions each grew by 30 percent or more. The Asia region alone only managed a small plus of just seven percent. Broken down by channel, the DTC business grew by 31 percent and wholesale by 26 percent worldwide.

For the 2023 financial year, VF expects an increase in sales of at least seven percent.
