VF Corp to expand Swiss headquarters as part of growth strategy

VF Corporation has unveiled plans to expand its headquarters in Stabio, Switzerland to continue its growth trajectory in the region.

Plans for the VF campus, which will manage the group’s EMEA operations, are soon to be submitted to the relevant authorities for the construction of a new building adjacent to the current site, the company said in a statement.

The expansion is part of a partnership with the real estate group Swiss Prime Site Solutions. Once approval is granted, the new building is set to be completed over the next two years, with VF indicating its sustainability considerations will also feed into the design.

VF’s growth in southern Ticino continues

The company’s growth strategy began ten years ago in southern Ticino, when it wanted to establish a strong presence in the region. Today the campus consists of four buildings with an area of 20,000 square meters, in which more than 1,100 employees work.

“Our development in Stabio continues and supports the important growth of the company and the well-being of our employees. Double-digit growth in the EMEA region over the past year and a half and the significant increase in headcount at our headquarters necessitate a further restructuring of our premises,” comments Martino Scabbia Guerrini, Executive Vice President, President EMEA, APAC and Emerging Brands at VF, the forthcoming expansion.

“We are ready to present a beautiful project that we hope to be able to realize within the next two years and we are proud to have attracted high-profile investors to Ticino,” adds Scabbia Guerrini.
