Vettel as team boss? Horner becomes clear

Sebastian Vettel has scarcely ended his career in Formula 1 when there is speculation about the future of the four-time world champion. Christian Horner trusts the Heppenheimer to play the role of team manager.

At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel celebrated his emotional farewell in Formula 1. In the future, the 35-year-old wants to spend more time with his family. However, a return to the premier class of motorsport does not seem entirely out of the question.

His longtime sponsor Dr. Helmut Marko recently opened the door to Vettel at Red Bull. The consultant could introduce himself to the Germans as a team manager in the future. A mind game that Christian Horner can also make friends with.

“He’s a judge of human nature,” said the Red Bull team boss from “speedweek.comquotes: “He understands the value of people and the contribution they make to success. But it’s up to him to decide what issues he’ll tackle now.”

Formula 1: Vettel wants to “try a lot of new things”

“I find it very exciting to try out many new things,” Vettel recently said about his plans in the podcast “Sinneswandel”. The Formula 1 legend revealed that he discovered the alphorn for himself.

In addition, Vettel wants to devote himself to sustainability projects. “Right now I don’t know what the exact answer is or how to put it exactly because I don’t have a concrete plan yet. But I think I’ve had a lot of fun over the past few years getting involved, giving my opinion express when I had the feeling that it would help,” said the 35-year-old: “I can imagine continuing to do so in the future.”

Vettel was active in Formula 1 between 2007 and 2022. In 299 races, the Heppenheimer achieved 53 victories and won four world titles.
