Loir’s death notice was published on Sunday, October 2.

The late entertainment legend Vesa-Matti Loirin the death notice was published today, Sunday, in Helsingin Sanomat. Loiri was 77 years old when he died.

Among other things, Loiri, who had a long career as a musician and actor, died of a long-term illness on August 10 in Helsinki.

Funeral in Helsinki

In the death notice, the relatives thank everyone who participated in the blessing ceremony for their participation. Loiri was blessed to rest in the grave at Johannes Church in Helsinki on September 20. The bishop of Helsinki served as the benefactor Teemu Laajasalo.

Loir’s close circle as well as his colleagues and friends were present at the funeral. Among others, an actor was present Esko Salminenmusicians Jenni VartiainenPaula Koivuniemi and Paula Vesala, endurance runner and MP Lasse Virén and ice hockey coach Jukka Jalonen.

Loir’s son Ukko Loiria was not seen at the funeral.

Prime Minister Sanna Marin (sd) and the wife of President Sauli Niinistö, poet Jenni Haukio, also arrived.
