Verstappen wins Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix



The second stage of the season, held on the 6.1 kilometer long Corniche Circuit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was held over 50 laps. Dutch pilot Verstappen finished the race in first place with a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes and 43.27 seconds, which he dominated from start to finish. Verstappen, who took first place in the first two stages of the season, won the 56th race victory of his career.


Sergio Perez was second behind his teammate Verstappen with 13.64 seconds, and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was content with third place with 18.63 seconds behind him.


After the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Verstappen is first in the drivers’ rankings with 51 points; Sergio Perez ranked second with 36 points and Charles Leclerc ranked third with 28 points.


In the teams’ classification, Red Bull took first place with 87 points. Ferrari is second with 49 points; Third place went to McLaren with 28 points.


On the other hand, the third race of the season, the Australian Grand Prix, will be held on Sunday, March 24.
