Verstappen to start F1 Canadian Grand Prix in first place



Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will start from the first row in the Canadian Grand Prix, the 9th stage of the season in the Formula 1 World Championship.


The Dutch pilot became the owner of the first pocket with a time of 1 minute and 25,858 seconds in the qualifying laps of the race to be held on the 4,361 meter Gilles Villeneuve Track.


Germany’s Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), 1.244 seconds behind Verstappen, took second place, while Spain’s Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), who laps the track 1.428 seconds slower than the leader, took third place.


The race in the city of Montreal will start at 21.00 tomorrow.
