Versace and Dua Lipa take you on a summer vacation

Against a summery backdrop, the Italian fashion house Versace presented its “La Vacanza” collection yesterday.

With a view of the sea and a catwalk surrounded by water, Donatella Versace and British singer Dua Lipa created a holiday mood when presenting their joint collection in Cannes.

“La Vacanza” is Italian for “vacation” and so the two women showed their common version of summer vacation and modern elegance at the fashion show: Classic tailoring and evening dresses meet holiday essentials such as bikinis and beachwear made of terry cloth.

A color palette of various pastel shades, such as lavender and light azure blue, ensures summer feelings. Metallic leather also appears in the delicate colors. The soft tones are contrasted by darker, shimmering metallic belt details and buckles. Dresses and skirts are made of silk with deep necklines and cut-outs.

The iconic butterfly and ladybug print from the spring/summer collection of 1995 appears on black and white looks. The outfits are rounded off with golden jewelry, which is also decorated with ladybugs and butterflies.

The beach looks impress with terry cloth with three-dimensional jacquard processing and Versace lettering. The golden accessories feature the Medusa head for the label’s signature look.
