South American neighbors Venezuela and Colombia have fully restored their mutual diplomatic ties after a three-year hiatus. The recent formation of a new left-wing government in Colombia made this possible. The new Colombian ambassador arrived in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on Sunday and was welcomed by Venezuela’s Deputy Foreign Minister.
