Students from the University of Utrecht removed some thirty buckets with peat soils from the area last week, says university professor of ecology and biodiversity Janna Barel Omrop Fryslân. Those pieces of peat go to the laboratory. They make the conditions in the peat and the growth of the peat moss is investigated. It must show what the consequences of the pipe straw are on peat moss, and what happens when you turn the peat.
