TFF shared the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) recordings of the 2 matches played in the 17th week of the Super League on its YouTube account, with audio and video. The matches featured in the video and the decisions taken are as follows:
– In the 6th minute of the Başakşehir – Kasımpaşa match, after the attack of the home team, referee Alper Akarsu received a warning from VAR for potential handball. Watching the replay of the position in the penalty area, Akarsu determined that Yasin Özcan handled the ball and decided to award a penalty.
– In the 50th minute of the Hatayspor – Adana Demirspor match, Adana Demirspor goalkeeper Deniz Dönmezer was left on the ground by the intervention of Cengiz Demir during the Hatayspor attack. Referee Direnç Tonusluoğlu issued a yellow card to Cengiz Demir. With the warning of VAR, Direnç Tonusluoğlu came to the side for a potential red card review.
