Vans introduces first ‘Off the Wall’ collection

Vans has unveiled the first collection of its premium platform ‘Off the Wall’ (OTW).

The line from the footwear company, which is part of the US clothing group VF Corporation, includes both shoes and apparel and is heavily influenced by skateboarding culture, Vans announced on Friday. It was shown for the first time Category with a high quality touch as part of Paris Men’s Fashion Week last June.

The shoe models that have now been launched include the ‘Half Cab Reissue 33 Vibram’, which is characterized by a chunky sole and is available in three color versions made of mesh and suede. The ‘Speed Vibram’ sneaker, on the other hand, is based on contrasting materials and is available in a light and a multicolored version.

Cargo trousers in green tones in a patchwork design with a coordinated jacket and quilted trousers in a denim look ensure a harmonious skateboard look even beyond the footwear. Additionally, a cream-colored short-sleeved shirt and a training jacket in black tones round off the collection.

“OTW by Vans is a frontier of progress, experience and collaboration,” said Ian Ginoza, vice president of creative direction at OTW. “The skateboarding mentality is at the heart of Vans, and OTW enriches that spirit with a unique perspective to drive the culture forward.”

The collection will soon be available at selected retailers. Sneakers are priced between 145 and 150 euros, pants between 180 and 200 euros and jackets between 225 and 250 euros.
