On the basis of “Advanced Sorting” techniques, Vanheede will sort out 40,000 tonnes of PMD-Rersidu even better. The amount of recyclable materials that the family business from this extra recovers corresponds to the annual PMD waste from a province. Jürgen Desmedt, Vanheede Environment Group: “The PMD Zak goes to one of the six sorting centers that we also have and there we will sort sixteen fractions. One of those groups is actually lost residue, which is then normal. And we are going to turn on the new line again.”
