This date was probably the proverbial grab into the toilet…
The pop singer Vanessa Mai overslept the first date with her future husband Andreas Ferber on the toilet. At a party in Aspach, she had to interrupt a rather wine-loving conversation with her big crush in order to go to the toilet, writes the 30-year-old in her new book “I do it Mai way” (from November 2nd ).
With heavy eyes and a skull like stone, she only wanted to rest for a moment. “I fell to the floor,” she writes. “Just rest, very briefly.” She laid her head on the toilet seat and fell asleep until her mother woke her up. Back at the bar, Ferber (39) was already up and away.
The result: before they went to the outdoor pool together the next day, the adored young man simply left them sitting.
At some point it must have sparked with both of them. Because Mai and Ferber have been a couple since 2013, and in 2017 the two said yes. Through the wedding, the singer is also part of the family of hit star Andrea Berg: Ferber is the stepson of the 56-year-old.
