The driver of a van was injured near Een on Monday afternoon. He ended up against a tree next to the Haulerwijksterweg for an unknown reason.
The victim was treated by paramedics after the accident and was eventually taken to hospital. Another driver was also involved in the accident, who escaped unscathed. The damage to the car was minor.
Police are still investigating exactly how the accident happened.
