During the reception of the asylum seekers there is always supervision, the municipality writes in the letter. The asylum seekers are received because the application center in Ter Apel is overcrowded. In this way, Valkenburg wants to respond to the appeal of the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA), which has appealed to municipalities to offer help. “We currently see room for this in the Polfermolen and we feel administratively and morally called upon to contribute to the request of the COA”, the municipality writes in the letter.
