Italian fashion house Valentino SpA has appointed a new manager for its European operations. As the company announced on Monday, Alessandro Beretta took over the post of CEO Europe on June 1st.
In this role, he will report directly to Laurent Bergamo, CCO Americas, Europe, Middle East and Brazil, and drive the expansion of the European retail and wholesale business, the company said. In cooperation with the company headquarters, Beretta should therefore concentrate on the implementation of the strategy aimed at customers and employees as well as the digital transformation.
According to his new employer, Beretta began his career at the consumer goods group Procter & Gamble, where he held various managerial positions. Most recently, he worked for the US sporting goods supplier Nike Inc. as Partner Management Director Southern Europe.
