After substitute goalkeeper Jaume Doménech (32) suffered a serious knee injury, FC Valencia reacted and signed Iago Herrerín without a club. The 34-year-old, who has been training with the team for two weeks, has signed a contract until the end of the season and is now available as a replacement alongside number one Giorgi Mamardashvili (21) alongside Cristian Rivero (24).
Herrerín, longtime goalkeeper of Athletic Bilbao, for whom he played 119 times between the posts, played for Al-Raed in the Saudi Professional League last season and made 13 appearances.
