In the hunt for benefit fraud, the UWV knowingly ignores the legislation. Internal evidence obtained by this site shows that the benefits agency unlawfully requested passport photos of citizens from municipalities for years. Although team leaders literally admit internally that the working method is ‘strictly speaking not legal’, the staff was still instructed to collect passport photos via a shortcut.
