Uwe Gensheimer is missing the Rhein-Neckar Löwen for months, Handball Bundesliga – Newsticker

The 35-year-old left winger has been struggling with this injury since the end of last year. The Lions medical team estimates the downtime will be at least three months.

Gensheimer’s absence creates a bottleneck, because substitute Benjamin Helander is currently still in rehabilitation training after an injury. This means that young talent Lion Zacharias is solely responsible for the left wing position in the home game against HSG Wetzlar on February 27th. The lions are currently in twelfth place and are lagging behind their own expectations.
