The German national ice hockey player JJ Peterka celebrated a remarkable victory in the NHL with Utah Mammoth.
The Salt Lake City team won 5-2 against the Minnesota Wild on Friday evening, ending a six-game winning streak for the visitors. Wild, the team of German Nico Sturm, is second in the Western Conference (80 points) and comfortably holds a direct playoff spot. Utah (66) consolidated its position in the race for the wild card ranks with the important victory.
Peterka was on the ice for almost 17 minutes without contributing to a goal, and the same was true for Sturm in just over 11 minutes. Both strikers are still without a scorer point in the two games after the Olympic break.
