User opinion SC Verl: The tree-change-you becomes a surprise bag

Fan series for the 3rd division

With the help of the community, Transfermarkt will take a detailed look at the 56 teams in the Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2 and Bundesliga 3 in the coming weeks. Which players are the fans looking forward to the most, where is there room for improvement and what is in the squad for 2022/23 for your favorite club? We asked around in the forums and got our opinions – in league three we continue with user “AndreasSCV” and SC Verl.

How do you rate the SC Verl squad?

Once again, a number of top performers have left – or had to go. Once again, the SCV needs new players! The Verl fans have to remember more than a dozen new faces. From SC Paderborn it feels like half the team from the U23 coach Michél Kniat followed to the Ölbach. Whether they make it into the 3rd division remains to be seen. I’m very excited to see how the team will present itself in the first league games.

On the new signing side, I’m particularly excited about Torge Paetow. Can he fix the big problem of the last two seasons and provide more stability in defence? Ron Berlinski, on the other hand, leaves a large gap in the center of attack, who played a key role in the fact that SC Verl still had a chance of staying up in the league last season. I suspect he would have stayed if the managerial change had come sooner.

Where do you see a need to catch up by Deadline Day?

Discuss about the SC VerlThis way!
With 28 men, the squad is broad enough, but due to the numerous newcomers, I don’t think it’s clear where there may be a need to catch up.

What do you expect from the playful appearance of the team?

The same applies here: Since the many newcomers give the team a completely new face, it is not yet possible to assess how it will perform. Accordingly, there are no clear expectations, you can’t exactly decide on a starting eleven – it’s a grab bag.

What’s in it for SC Verl in 2022/23?

In my opinion, there are two goals for SC Verl. First: don’t get off! A one-digit place would be a dream. And secondly: Finally playing in the Sportclub Arena again! It’s okay in Paderborn, but not like at home. This season you have almost only away games again. I hope for a speedy return to the Poststrasse. Because only there are real home games!
