USA and Australia faced off in Group D of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The United States, which beat Paraguay 4-1 in its first match of the tournament, increased its score to 6 by beating Australia 2-0, which defeated our National Football Team 2-0 in its first match, and almost guaranteed its ticket to the tour. The goals for the USA were scored by Cameron Burgess (own goal) in the 11th minute and Alexander Freeman in the 43rd minute.
USA will face our National Team in the last match of the group stage. Australia will duke it out with Paraguay.
