US to provide $300 million additional military aid to Ukraine

The US Department of Defense will provide Ukraine with an additional $300 million in military aid, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said. His words are quoted by the press service of the ministry.

“Within the framework of USAI (Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, Initiatives to promote the security of Ukraine. — RBC) The Defense Department will provide up to $300 million in security assistance to bolster Ukraine’s ability to defend itself,” Kirby said.

It is specified that this assistance package will include laser-guided missile systems, tactical Switchblade drones, Puma drones, anti-drone systems, armored multi-purpose wheeled vehicles of high mobility, custom small and large caliber ammunition, night vision devices, thermal imaging systems and optics, tactical secure communications systems, custom machine guns, commercial satellite imagery services, medical supplies, field equipment and spare parts.

According to the Pentagon, the United States has already provided more than $2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the administration of President Joe Biden came to power, including more than $1.6 billion since the start of the Russian military operation.
