US team draws goalless with Colombia

The US national team ended their traditional winter camp with a draw.

After beating Serbia 2-1 on Thursday, the Americans drew 0-0 with Colombia in the international match in Los Angeles.

Born in Germany, Julian Gressel played his second international match for the World Cup round of 16, Qatar, and came on as a substitute in the 81st minute.

The 29-year-old comes from Neustadt an der Aisch in Franconia and moved to the United States in 2013. He has been an American citizen since last November. Gressel currently plays for Canadian club Vancouver Whitecaps.

The USA tested new players in California with a view to the 2026 World Cup at home. Professionals signed in Europe have not been nominated as there is no official FIFA release period.
