The upheaval continues at the US Salernitana 1919. According to information from the transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio the promoted team is separating from coach Stefano Colantuono and replacing him with Davide Nicola, who coached FC Torino in the second half of the 2020/21 season. Colantuono only took over the post last October.
After almost half the squad was completely renewed in the winter transfer window – twelve players came and eight left – a new impetus should now also come from the coaching bench. Nicola is expected in Salerno on Tuesday to sign the contract.
