US opiate crisis: Police lose informant caught with enough drugs ‘to kill 25 million people’

The US anti-narcotics brigade DEA has lost a criminal who worked as an informant after he was caught with a record amount of fentanyl, a painkiller from Belgium that is 100 times more potent than morphine and which killed more than 70,000 Americans last year. That reports TV channel ‘NBC News’. It seems like yet another fiasco in the decades-long ‘War on Drugs’ in the United States.
