US Open winner Raducanu separates from coach Beltz

US Open winner Emma Raducanu has separated from her German coach Torben Beltz after about six months.

The 19-year-old Brit said in a statement that she wanted to try another training model and was hoping for temporary support from the British tennis association LTA.

Raducanu thanked Beltz for his training, professionalism and commitment. “He has a huge heart,” said the Toronto-born world number eleven. Raducanu sensationally triumphed as a qualifier in New York in September.

Beltz was also the coach of former world number one Angelique Kerber for a long time. The German number one had separated from her coach after last season, who had looked after her three times in her career with interruptions.
