US health advisor advocates cancer warning for alcohol: “It is a preventable cause of cancer”

The ‘surgeon general’, a key health adviser to the US government, called for cancer warning labels on alcohol products on Friday. Alcohol is responsible for about 100,000 cancer cases and 20,000 cancer deaths each year in the US, according to ‘doctor of the nation’ Vivek Murthy. His message is pushing liquor company shares lower.
