NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – US government bonds recorded price losses on Friday. On the last trading day of the year, the futures contract for ten-year bonds (T-Note Future) fell by 0.29 percent to 112.11 points. In contrast, the yield on ten-year government bonds rose to 3.88 percent. Trading was fairly impulsive.
Chicago-area purchasing manager sentiment data for December released on Friday came in better than analysts had expected.
