Urban Sports in old bus depot in Assebroek

Franky Demon, Alderman of Sport Brugge: “For example, I am thinking of mountain biking, but then on tree trunks. I am thinking of bouldering, that’s horizontal climbing, skating too, and freerunning. Those are all things that should belong here. But we also want a lot lifestyle around it, I think of graffiti, or rougher art. A way of life that belongs to Urban Sports.”

The city is now looking for partners for the next five years, but they will have to invest in furnishing the halls themselves. The city will renovate the roof, for good 80,000 euros. The building is industrial heritage and may therefore not be demolished.
