The German Football Association (DFB) has again imposed heavy fines. Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln were hit the hardest, with four fines totaling EUR 231,200 for five cases of unsportsmanlike behavior by their supporters.
Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt has to pay three fines of 44,000 euros. This involves five cases of unsportsmanlike behavior by his supporters and insufficient security service.
As the DFB sports court announced, the Cologne team was punished, among other things, for burning at least 60 pyrotechnic objects in the game against 1. FC Union Berlin on April 1st. Further penalties had to be paid for similar offenses, as well as a storming of the pitch after the team qualified for international business on May 7th.
In addition, Cologne spectators set off at least 66 pyrotechnic devices before the match at VfB Stuttgart on May 14, delaying the start of the game by one minute. Another 38 Pyros followed during the game.

Among other things, the Frankfurters were accused of the fact that shortly after the Bundesliga game against SC Freiburg kicked off on April 10, two people from the Eintracht spectator area ran onto the field and tied themselves to the goalposts with cable ties. The game had to be interrupted for three minutes.
During the Bundesliga match against 1899 Hoffenheim on April 23, Frankfurt spectators burned nine Bengali fires. During the Bundesliga game at FSV Mainz on May 14, a total of 14 pyrotechnic objects were detonated in the Frankfurt spectator area. The association has approved the verdicts, which means that they are legally binding.
