A banner that was hung in Panningen to show support for Ukrainians has been destroyed by unknown persons.

The banner with the text ‘Freedom for Ukraine’ was hung between two trees on John F. Kennedylaan at the beginning of March. Monday morning it was gone, reports Broadcasting P&M

ladder
The torn remains were later found near the football field next to the Piushallen, a little further. Because a ladder was found near the trees where the banner hung, it is assumed that the canvas was deliberately destroyed. A report has been made to the police.

Giro 555
In addition to the slogan ‘Freedom for Ukraine’, the banner also had the addition ‘and for all the world.’ The intention was to eventually auction the canvas, after which the proceeds would go to Giro 555.
