Sometimes an unknown caller is just a commercial call. But when it comes to a forgotten acquaintance or, in serious cases, even a stalker, not knowing who is on the other side of the line can lead to inconvenience. However, there are a few ways to find out who the unknown phone number belongs to.
Google cell phone number
The first option that comes to many people’s minds is to enter the cell phone number into Google search. In order to make the search as efficient as possible, you should keep a few things in mind, such as: t online explained. When entering your landline or cell phone number into the Google search line, you should make sure to enclose the number in quotation marks, for example “0170 123456789”. So Google searches for exactly this number. With luck you can then assign the number to a company, for example. Mobile number reverse lookup
If the Google search doesn’t produce any useful results, you can try a reverse search. You can enter a phone number into an online phone book and search for it. Find callers via WhatsApp
With the help of WhatsApp, owners of cell phone numbers can often be identified. To do this, the phone number must be saved in your own smartphone address book. Then you can press the symbol in WhatsApp that will be used to write a new message. The phone number in question can be selected in the address book that opens. If this phone number is registered with WhatsApp, a chat window will then open where you can read the person’s name. Call the voicemail
However, if none of these options work, you can finally call the number’s mailbox. Some smartphone users have recorded their own announcement for their mailbox with which the caller can be identified. In order to call the mailbox directly without letting it ring, depending on the telephone provider, there is a code that must be entered between the area code and the number when dialing the telephone number. For example, at Vodafone this would be “50” and at Telekom it would be “13”. You can quickly find out which provider which area code and which code belong to using Google.
It becomes difficult to find out the identity of the caller when calling from a suppressed number. Unfortunately, there are no easy ways to get to the number and therefore to the caller. However, such calls can be blocked via the phone settings.
