Scandal game: Union files a complaint with the arbitral tribunal

The DFB sports court and the Federal Supreme Court rated the game between the Union and Bochum 2-0 for VfL after a lighter throw. Now the Berliners are moving to the next instance – outside the DFB.
Union Berlin, as announced, is legal against the evaluation of the game against VfL Bochum. As the Bundesliga club announced on Wednesday, “on time” complaint was submitted to the chairman of the constant arbitration court for associations and corporations.
The club wants to have the judgments of the DFB sports court on January 9 and the DFB Federal Court of February 28. Both instances had scored 2-0 for Bochum after playing the lighter after the lighter.
Union had already appealed against the sports court decision. The starting point was an incident on December 14th: In the final phase of the game, Bochum goalkeeper Patrick Drewes was hit by a lighter that was thrown out of the Union block. The game originally ran out 1-1. After an objection by the VfL, the game was again rated after an oral hearing – in favor of the Bochum.
The DFB Federal Court confirmed the judgment and thus formed the last instance within the association. With the arbitration lawsuit now submitted, Union is taking the next legal step outside the DFB structures.
