Unhappy first training for Verstappen on Zandvoort circuit

The first free practice session in Zandvoort turned out to be a disappointment for Max Verstappen. He was the first to appear on the track, but had to drop out after eight laps. His car stopped and smoke came out.

The training was then stopped for a short time, but Verstappen did not play anymore. Verstappen eventually finished in nineteenth place with 1,14,714 of the twenty drivers. The Dutchman did appear at the start of the second training session, when the stands were well filled.

The Limburger will drive the third and final free practice session tomorrow from 12 noon, before driving qualifying from 3 p.m. in the afternoon. The official race starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
