The Finnish star has had difficulties in the Madrid tournament.

Harri Heliövaara is looking for the second Masters 1000 tournament victory of his career. PDO

Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten advance to the final of the Madrid ATP Masters tournament.

The place in the final was confirmed on Friday, when the opponents in the semifinals Luke Johnson and Jan Zielinski had to give up in the middle of the match.

Heliövaara and Patten won the first set 6–3 and led the second set 4–3 until the opponents interrupted.

Heliövaara previously wrote in his blog that he has suffered from stomach problems during the tournament. According to him, many players have fallen off the charts because of food poisoning.

Heliövaara and Patten, who placed third in the tournament, will either face each other in the final Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard or by Maximo Gonzalez and by Andres Molten.

The Finnish star is now looking for the second Masters 1000 tournament victory of his career. The first victory came last year with Patten in Paris.
