Borussia Mönchengladbach continued the upward trend in the Bundesliga. Gladbach won 2: 1 (2-0) on Saturday at 1. FC Union Berlin, has been unbeaten for four games and can dream of participating in a European competition.
Lukas Ullrich (10th minute) and Tim Kleindienst (26th) scored the goals for the team of Gerardo Seoane. “He always comes to the Rendevouz in the Sechzehner in good time”Gladbach’s coach Gerardo Seoane said the sports show and meant the opponent’s penalty area.

Gladbach can dream of Europe
Borussia Mönchengladbach has 34 points after 22 games and is in the top third of the Bundesliga. The foals are allowed to dream of participating in a European competition – Gladbach had last played there in the 2020/21 season: Borussia was eliminated against Manchester City in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The 1. FC Union Berlin, for whom only Andrej Ilic met with a penalty (63.), is a good distance away. After the tenth defeat this season, Steffen Baumgart’s team took 13th place – but has a soothing point cushion on relegation place 16.
For left -back Ullrich, born in Berlin, trained at Union Rival Hertha, it was the first Bundesligator. For small service, 29, the goal shooting has almost become everyday life – he now stands with 14 goals in 21 league games this season.

Two injuries – first Gladbach has to change, then Union
Union showed attention from the start, the first offensive actions belonged to the hosts. However, the attempts by the head of Ilic (2nd) and Robert Skov (4th) were too harmless. But Gladbach also searched the way forward, Robin Hack put on Ullrich across, who scored for the lead.
A little later, however, a damper for the guests: keeper Moritz Nicolas had to leave the field, for him Jonas Omlin came in the 20th minute.
Union, in turn, quickly collected after the early goal, but was not mandatory at the front. The foals, on the other hand, presented themselves efficiently, after a further breakthrough on the outer lane, small service, according to Nathan Ngoumou, pushed in from a short distance.
