Ali Koç, who has not shown any signs of success since 2018, when he took over Fenerbahce, and has promised a ‘championship’ every year, pouring tons of money into the transfer, is growing exponentially.
The latest example of this situation was revealed once again at the signing ceremony held for coach İsmail Kartal at Can Bartu Facilities.
Calendar.com.tr sports editor Görkem Ağgündüz asked Ali Koç, “Your photo of İsmail Kartal, taken with your hands in your pocket, was shared on Fenerbahçe official accounts. What would you like to say about this?” posed the question.

This deficient attitude of a person who is the president of Fenerbahçe was interpreted as an attempt to cover up the disrespect towards İsmail Kartal, which drew the reaction of Fenerbahçe fans.
Ağgündüz also asked Fenerbahçe’s new coach İsmail Kartal, “Have you had a meeting with Jorge Jesus? Did you ask for a report?” posed the question.

Stealing a role from Mesut Özil and jumping in, Koç pointed to Calendar.com.tr as a target with the answer, “This channel is a channel that makes negative news about Fenerbahçe. That’s the tone of the problem.”

My expectation was ‘sincerity’ in the positive sense, and ‘it looks bad’ in the negative sense. Before answering, however, the president pointlessly scribbled on my institution and replied, ‘I am like that in every photograph’. At least, I’ve never seen the president like that in any ‘official’ photo so far.

As a result, Ali Koç, who adopted ‘transparency and honesty’ as a principle during his presidency, preferred to censor a media institution in response to a simple question.
