Sinikka Monte is still an unknown artist to the general public.
Sinikka is a name given to Finnish children, especially from 1930 to 1959, according to the Finnish Digital and Population Agency.
The name therefore refers to an older woman who competes in the New Music competition Blue Monte it really isn’t. Sinikka is a 23-year-old artist whose background is as surprising as her first name. Sinikka is half Finnish, half South African, she was born in Scotland and currently lives in Austria, the land of the wise.
The first name Sinikka tells about Finnishness.
Sinikka likes to speak Finnish in interviews, but sometimes the language switches to English in the middle of a sentence.

– UMK is also a good opportunity for artists, both big and small. I love UMK, in previous years I have watched all possible interviews and social media stories, everything! And I also applied to UMK.
Sinikka Monte’s song Ready to Leave will be published on January 20. According to Sinika, the song is a cinematic ballad.
To the question, does Sinikka Monte want to win UMK, the answer is no.
– I don’t know, maybe, possibly. But if I don’t win, I won’t be sad because all the artists are great. But of course it would be great to win.
The new music competition will be held at the Nokia Arena on February 28.
