Ulrich Hirmer took over the sole management of the Hirmer Stammhaus in the Munich-based company, Hirmer GmbH & Co KG confirmed on Tuesday at the request of Fashionunited. Previously, the Textile industry industry magazine had reported on the change at the top of the traditional Munich house.
In his new role, Hirmer is supported by a multi-member management team, as a company spokesman said. The previous managing director Gerhard Kränzle, who has been responsible for the successful development of the flagship of the Hirmer Group since August, also remains part of this team. Whether Kränzle, who had returned to Munich Menswear specialist in February after 25 years and initially took over the role of the division manager for central purchasing, sales and marketing, will not be confirmed in this position at the current time.
Before his time in Munich, Kränzle, who was only referred to by Hirmer in a short statement as the previous interim manager, worked as a managing director for the Hiltl, resident in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. His successor succeeded Roland Strauss and Thorsten Grönlund, who completed the new dual leadership in spring.
