Ukraine is this year’s host country, which is why Eurovision organizers want as many Ukrainians as possible to get into the Eurovision audience.

Eurovision’s Twitter post announces that the song contest is organizing thousands of tickets for Ukrainians fleeing the war. Ukraine is the official host country this year.

– Thousands of tickets will be free for Ukrainians displaced from their country so that they can participate in Eurovision in Liverpool, the publication reads.

The official page of the Eurovision Song Contest clarifies that the British government wants to organize about 3000 tickets only for citizens of Ukraine.

With the ticket, you can participate in one live performance, which means that the participant must choose whether to participate in the previous performances or only the last finale. More detailed information about the tickets and related arrangements is not yet available.

– The announcement means that thousands of tickets will be offered to those suffering from the war, so that they would have the opportunity to cheer on their homeland, culture and music, the decision is clarified on the Eurovision website.

– As always, we stand by the Ukrainians and fight for their freedom.

Displeased with the decision

Not everyone likes Eurovision and the British government’s decision. On Twitter, several people criticized the decision regarding the tickets.

– This is stupid, one commented.

– UNHCR’s singing competition, one complains. With his comment, he refers to the United Nations Refugee Agency.

– I think real Eurovision fans deserve a place in the audience, one writes.

The complainants’ comments are mostly related to the fact that the tickets reserved for Ukrainians would take away seats from others. The comments are also related to different attitudes towards the war.

The wonder of complaint

We wonder about the comments of the complainers, because many think that the decision of the Eurovision Song Contest is good.

– I didn’t think people would really complain about this, says one on Twitter.

Many also clarify that the tickets do not take away seats from other participants.

– 3000 tickets spread over nine shows, as mentioned in the article, means 333 tickets per show. For those who are upset about this, the decision will not affect your chances of getting tickets, one commented.

In the middle of the interview, the representative of Ukraine played his winning song Stefania.
