Among them was Tetiana Belous, who fled to Belgium with her two children three years ago. She still sees the future in Ukraine. “I want to go back to Ukraine. I think the war will stop, but we can only wait. Many people in Belgium support us. The war has to stop.”
The 750 Ukrainians in Bruges remain combative. It is an active community that not only mourns, but also fights to build a new life in Belgium.
