Kyiv (dpa-AFX) – According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian Air Force fired several hypersonic missiles of the Kinschal type at the port city of Odessa on Monday evening. Several “tourist objects” were hit and at least five buildings were destroyed, Ukrajinska Pravda reported. A shopping center was also damaged, a regional online site reported. Two people were injured. The search for more victims under the rubble continues.
The port city in southern Ukraine has been the target of increased Russian rocket attacks since Sunday evening. Several rockets fell in the region on Monday during a visit by EU Council President Charles Michel.
