The German sporting goods provider Uhlsport GmbH has reorganized its management team. On Wednesday, the Balingen-based company announced the promotion of Melanie Steinhilber to CEO. She succeeded Dirk Hendrik Lehner, who left Uhlsport a few weeks ago.
Steinhilber has been working at Uhlsport since 2002 and has “played a key role in shaping the company, as well as the Uhlsport and Kempa brands, in various functions over many years,” according to a statement. With the appointment, “the owner family Daiss is sending a clear signal of continuity and strengthening.” At the same time, she underlined “her support for the strategic further development of Uhlsport GmbH” and reiterated her “willingness to continue making significant investments in the future – including in infrastructure as well as in sponsorship and partnership activities.”
In addition to the new CEO, Viktor Daiker (authorized signatory & VP finance), Baris Levent (VP Procurement, Logistics QA), Sulaiman El-Hamad (VP Sales) and Mario Scholze (VP Sales Controlling & Analytics) also belong to the management team of the team sports specialist.
“We have great personal trust in Ms. Steinhilber and the entire management team,” explained Günter Daiss in a statement. “She knows the company and the brands through and through and can consistently lead the process of consolidating and sustainably strengthening Uhlsport GmbH.”
