UGG® and Fashion Council Germany announce the three finalists for the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE

In collaboration with the Fashion Council Germany, UGG® announces the finalists of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE for 2023.

An initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering the next generation of emerging fashion designers who strive for a more sustainable and inclusive future. Their vision and DNA embody the bold, self-expressive character of UGG® and the FCG. UGG® and FCG are pleased to announce the three finalists for the UGG® Culture Changemaker Prize, selected by a jury of international experts:

  • SF1OG The designers viewed the form and function of their concepts through the lens of sustainability. The visionary approaches with their conceptual designs for the UGG® “Classic Mini” boot were exhibited at the Der Berliner Salon during Berlin Fashion Week in July 2023.

The three finalists were selected by a jury consisting of industry experts Nicks Ericsson (UGG – Senior Director of Brand Purpose, Sustainability & DEI), Christiane Arp (FCG – Chairman & Founding Member), Thibaud Guyonnet (Voo Store – Creative Director & Head of Buying), Cheryll Mühlen (J’N’C & TM – Editor in Chief), Patrick Pendiuk (Vogue Germany – Senior Fashion Features Editor) and Milk Of Lime (last year’s winner). The jury was tasked with evaluating the conceptual redesign of the iconic UGG® “Classic Mini” boot in terms of innovation, creative excellence and sustainable implementation.

The winning concept will be chosen in October and awarded prize money of EUR 40,000. According to their investment plan, the prize money will be used as an investment in the future of the brand. The winning creation will be presented during Berlin Fashion Week in February 2024.
