The European football association UEFA has postponed the awarding of the 2025 European Championship for women by two months to the beginning of April 2023. This emerges from a statement by the Swiss Football Association.
The reason for the postponement is that UEFA requires more detailed budget proposals from the four applicants in order to be able to get a final picture of all candidatures.
In addition to Switzerland, France, Poland and an alliance consisting of the four Scandinavian countries Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden want to host the EM 2025.
