UEFA penalties for Union Berlin and FC Bayern

The next time its supporters fail, the Bundesliga soccer club Union Berlin is threatened with an away game at international level without their own fans. This was announced by the European Football Union (UEFA).

The sentence was suspended for two years, and Union had to pay a fine of 30,000 euros.

In the 0-0 draw in the Europa League at Ajax Amsterdam in mid-February, Union fans set off pyrotechnics. Should a similar incident occur again, Union may not subsequently sell tickets for the guest block.

Bayern Munich was also sanctioned – also because of the misconduct of its fans. The record champion has to pay a fine of 44,750 euros.

FCB fans ignited pyrotechnics and showed “illegal banners” in the 1-0 win in the Champions League round of 16 at Paris Saint-Germain.
